World University Games Information

Event Overview 

Event: 2027 FISU World University Games 
Dates: January 15 to 25, 2027 
Location: Changchun, China 
Application Deadline: June 26th

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Hold United States citizenship.

  2. Be between 18 and 28 years old (born between January 1, 1999, and December 31, 2009).

  3. Have graduated in 2025 or 2026, be currently enrolled, or have completed at least one 3-credit course toward a degree within the year preceding the games.

Financial Responsibility 

This is a self-funded event. Selected teams are responsible for all costs, which may exceed $20,000 per team, including flights and entry fees.

Team Deposits: Required by June 29 ($4,000 per men's/women's team; $1,500 per mixed doubles team).
