ABout US
College Curling USA, affiliated with USA Curling, is the administrative branch of college curling in the United States. Our mission is to promote the growth of college curling within a diverse and vibrant collegiate community. We provide competitive curling opportunities for college students—including the oversight of the annual national College Curling USA Championship—and support athlete instruction and club development within a collegiate environment.
The goal of College Curling USA is the promotion and development of on-campus curling clubs and curling activities. Collegiate curling teams play for their schools, not as individuals. Collegiate curling teams must be in communication with their respective schools regarding their intent to compete using the school name. Normally, college curlers are part of a recognized campus club or recognized student organization, or are otherwise be formally affiliated with their school. If students have difficulty accessing legitimacy and/or recognition within their school, students may contact college@usacurling.org for assistance. Affiliation with one’s school affords opportunities to access student funding and other resources the college provides for its students. Most collegiate curling teams curl at a local community curling club or on ice provided by their school. In addition to the College Curling USA Championships, College Curling USA promotes regional college bonspiels and smaller match play games to make frequent and regular competitions between college curling clubs possible.
