Growing the sport on campus

The top sixteen qualified college teams in 2024

USA College Curling is the national governing body of intercollegiate curling, setting game play, eligibility, and organizational rules. In addition to overseeing the national championship, USACC works closely with USA Curling to promote curling in college athletics by engaging with universities and other groups.

Meet the teams

Over 30 colleges and universities across the country field teams at the club sport level. These teams range in size from 4 to over 20 players, sometimes rotating between events depending on class schedules and travel. Because of this, College Curling teams are named after their school instead of the skip’s last name. Much like other college sports, players can come and go, but the team remains.

Teams are divided geographically into three national regions. While any team can compete against each other regardless of location, national championship berths are awarded to the top teams from each region. These berths are earned by either finishing high enough in the points or winning the team’s respective regional championship event.

New teams are formed regularly as more and more students across the country learn the sport. If you are an interested student interested in starting a team at your college or university, please reach out! USA College Curling’s highest priority is to support your efforts in growing the sport.
